BRIEF BIO

Andrés Soto is a Latin Grammy-nominated composer with an active career in the world of film, TV, video game, and concert music. He has written several feature film soundtracks (drama, comedy, documentaries, sci-fi), his TV sync music has been published by Universal Production Music, and his classical works have been performed by numerous orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Costa Rica, the Seattle, Baltimore symphonies, etc.

As an arranger he has worked with a variety of artists that have either won or been nominated to Grammy, Emmy, Tony awards. He was written music for live productions in North and South America and Europe. He is based in Los Angeles but spends a lot of time in New York City as well.


LATIN GRAMMY NOMINATION (2024)

In 2024. Andres received a nomination for the Latin Grammy in the category of Best Arrangement for his work “RAPSODIA AÉREA”, which was recorded by the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica, conducted by Carl St. Clair.

Previous awards and nominations include Best Music at the Colombian Film Academy Awards, and 2 honorable mentions in the National Composition Price in Costa Rica.

He received the prestigious Reel Film Fund Grant from NEW MUSIC USA, in a partnership with SESAC and composer Christophe Beck in 2023.


TV MUSIC

Universal Production Music has published four albums of original music.

Many of these tracks have appeared in countless networks around the world, including: ESPN, NBC, ABC, Univision, Telemundo, BBC, SKY, Channel 7 Australia.

International sport broadcasts that have used his music include The Masters, The US OPEN (Tennis), Wimbledon, the PGA TOUR, the NFL, NBA, and FIFA, among others.
